Founded in 2020, Grade Accelerator Academy is more than just an online tuition provider. Built around a deep belief in knowing the learners we work with, we exist to help students feel seen, supported, and confident to reach their full academic potential.
Led by former Head of English and Oxford postgraduate Natasha Shirman, we deliver high-impact English tutoring from our base in Amersham to families across the UK and beyond.

How We Started
Grade Accelerator Academy began as a vision: to create a tutoring space that valued quality over scale. Natasha launched the academy after years of working in both traditional schools and online environments, having seen how personalised attention was often sacrificed in large learning platforms.
Starting with a small group of students and a single laptop, she grew the business around the principle that great teaching starts with knowing your students. Over the years, students supported by the academy have gone on to achieve excellent results, many earning places at their first or insurance choice universities.
Today, while our teaching remains rooted in Amersham, our reach is global.

We're currently undergoing accreditation by the Global Online Education Regulator, an international body dedicated to raising the standard of online education. We're proud to share a mission with them: to support smaller educators who put students first.
Who We Teach
Our students range from KS2 through to A-Level, with a primary focus on English Literature and Language. However, we’re also responding to growing demand in other areas like Chemistry and Maths, and collaborate with a small network of trusted affiliate tutors to meet those needs when possible, although we specialise specifically in English.
Whether your child is preparing for entrance exams, consolidating curriculum gaps, or aiming for university success, we deliver the structure, care, and feedback they need to succeed.
